Item #6453

Gibson L-37 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1937), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, hard shell case.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 14 7/8 in. (37.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). A nice playing example overall; all original and not too heavily played. There is a noticeable repair to several cracks coming off the back end of the bass side F-hole, solid but not touched up to any great extent. The back center seam has had a neat reseal at both ends. There is some general light finish wear, a few spots worn through the lacquer on the back of the neck but no major finish loss. A good sounding example with a sweeter tone than many of these. Overall Very Good + Condition.
