Gibson L-30 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1936), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 702B-17 (FON), black lacquer finish, maple back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 13/16 in. (46 mm.). This is a super clean example of Gibson's budget archtop from the Mid-30's. All original with the exception of a modern integrated bridge/pickup system entailing and endpin jack; there is also a strap button added to the heel. All other hardware is original and clean, no other repairs or alterations and the finish is exceptionally nice with only the most minor wear. A very fine player as well with a surprisingly deep sound, ready to gig including a modern HSC. Overall Excellent + Condition.
