Gibson L-2 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1931), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural lacquer finish, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 3/8 in. (100 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 5/16 in. (11 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). Appears original except for pickguard mounting bracket tip; some overall signs of wear but no visible damage or repair. Has been refretted, new nut installed and neck likely reset; plays very well. A really unusual Gibson and a uniqie sounding guitar. Includes the original HSC. Excellent Condition.
