Item #5830

Gibson J-45 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1953), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back, sides and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 3/8 in. (41.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A spectacularly clean example of an early 1950's J-45: No damage, repairs or alterations except replaced tuner buttons, overall only the most minor play and handling wear. This guitar has a big, deep sound with plenty of character; certainly one of the nicest period Gibson flat tops we have ever had! Excellent + Condition.
