Item #5651

Gibson ES-335 DOT Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1982), made in Nashville, TN, black lacquer finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 1/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This guitar has been gigged but well-cared for. The only alterations are a restoration back to original tuners (nickel Grovers) and the bridge upgraded to a more modern Tune-O-Matic style with graphite saddles. There is some light wear overall, most notably slight finish chipping over the neck binding, and a few small spots of touch up here and there. There has been a pro refret with correct-style fret wire. The rear pickup ring is shrinking a bit. All other hardware is the nickel-plated original, with a nice aged patina. This is a very striking looking guitar in this relatively rare black finish; an excellent player with 33 years under its belt already. Excellent - Condition.
