Gibson ES-335-12 Model 12 String Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1967), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 120370, cherry lacquer finish, Laminate maple body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case.

Gibson's first single-neck electric 12-srting, the ES-335-12 was introduced in mid-1965 in response the twelve-string craze which followed George Harrison's use of a Rickenbacker 360/12 in the prior year's A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. The model was fairly successful over the next few years and was phased out of production in 1970. This example was built during the 1967, the peak production year of the models short-lived existence. As used by Robbie Krieger on the Doors "Love Her Madly" and Richie Furay of the Buffalo Springfield, the ES-335-12 remains one of the 1960's better playing electric 12's even if not generally considered an all-time Gibson classic!

Overall length is 43 1/4 in. (109.9 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.). An excellent player with some light wear and a few minor changes: A bone nut, replacement Tune-O-Matic bridge, and newer pickguard mounting bracket. There are a few dings on the back of the neck, and the label is tattered with the serial number and model illegible. Numbers on knobs are faded as well. Marked as a factory second (no visible flaw, like many from this year) an excellent playing electric 12, with the original HSC. Overall Excellent Condition.
