Item #4942

Gibson ES-300 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1949), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst lacquer finish, laminated maple body; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 42 in. (106.7 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A very nice, clean guitar overall. All original except the tortouse celluloid stiffening brace underneath the pickguard was beginning to gas and so has been replaced. No other changes or repairs-just wear to the back of the neck, and one small touch-up to the top. A lovely example of an early post-WWII fancy Gibson electric. Excellent Condition.
