Item #5077

Gibson ES-175 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst lacquer finish, laminared maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Well used, but substantially original and not heavily worn. The single PAF pickup and wiring are original (the PU cover solder joints have been redone, but all appears correct) and the pickguard, tailpiece and bridge are original as well. Tuners are repro correct-style Kluson (replacing Grovers) and the headstock appears to have had a lacquer overspray long ago. Some dings and dents to the body, and a substantial area of buckle wear to the back. The back of the neck also has a decent amount of wear along the spine, and an area of replaced binding on the bass side. Excellent pro refret with proper style wire, this is an excellent player and a good gigging example of Gibson's classic working jazz box. Overall Very Good + Condition.
