Item #5457
Gibson ES-175 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1951), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown hard shell case.
Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). This is a very well played guitar; there is a lot of wear to the back of the neck and body, the top is cleaner with mostly armwear in the usual upper-body position. Wear to the headstock edges, wnr there is an apparent cigarette-burn hole in the truss rod cover! The pickguard is missing, tuners are correct style repros, the tailpiece and bridge and pickup/electronics are original. Recent excellent era-correct-style refret, plays excellent. Great sound and lots of 50's vibe Overall Very Good + Condition.
