Item #5807
Gibson ES-150 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1954), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Overall length is 42 in. (106.7 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This is a good looking and playing guitar with some isolated wear, but overall a good specimen. There is some heavy wear to the finish on the back of the neck-someone used a capo up to the 8th fret or so, or had the world's sharpest thumbnail! There is also a repair to the rim by the output jack with a patched in area that is very nicely done.
For the most part the rest of the guitar is rather clean; the top finish is nice, with a few wear marks and unfaded as is the back. The hardware is almost all original, including the pickup, wiring, knobs, tailpiece and pickguard. Five of the tuners are original with newer buttons-one tuner is the correct style but from the 1960's. The bridge is original but the base has been scooped in the middle and the saddle cut down a bit from the bottom. This is a great sounding guitar, with a few battle scars but a great vibe overall. Very Good + Condition.
