Item #6342

Gibson ES-125 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1955), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # W1526-9, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown alligator chipboard case.

Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Very clean overall, small wear with some chips and dings (a few on the headstock edge and one chip to the finish on the back of the neck behind the second fret) but overall not a lot of wear. The P-90 pickup is original but the pots and knobs are more recent; all other hardware is original. A really nice looking, sounding and playing example of Gibson's "bread and butter" electric from the 1950's, including the original alligator-grain SSC. Excellent - Condition.
