Item #5626
Gibson EH-150 Model Tube Amplifier, c. 1938, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 6216, tweed fabric covering finish. This is cosmetically the cleanest EH-150 to have made its way into the shop. Perhaps Gibson's most iconic amplifier with the exception of the GA-79, the EH-150 was the amplifier of choice by Charlie Christian and Alvino Ray who also codesigned this wonderful piece of Gibson history. This amp features Gibsons low cut tone switch and the original Gibson "High Fidelity Ultra Sonic Reproducer"- a 12" field coil speaker and sounds fantastic at all volumes.
Height is 15 in. (38.1 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) width, and 8 1/2 in. (21.6 cm.) deep. Sterling cosmetically. There is an added master volume knob between the external speaker jack and the instrument volume knob, regretable in terms of flawless originallity but a great boon for anyone looking to play through a pre war amplifier. Near Mint Condition.
