Item #4081
Gibson EH-150 Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar (1938), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst lacquer finish, maple body with rosewood fingerboard, original tweed hard shell case.
An early EH-150 with the "Charlie Christian" blade pickup, generally considered the best-sounding lap steel in Gibson's history. These semi-hollow body maple steels have a very rich, powerful tone.
Length is 32 1/4 in. (81.9 cm.), 9 in. (22.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) in depth at side. Scale length is 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.).
All original; a couple of discreet crack repairs to the maple top and some minor finish wear. Overall a very nice example with a somewhat worn but functional OHSC and an original cable. Excellent Condition.
