Gibson Consolette Model High Steel Electric Guitar, c. 1954, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural lacquer finish, Korina (light mahogany) body, original brown hard shell case.
This is one big playable slab of Korina wood! The Consolette relatively rare doubleneck high steel was in production for only a few years in the mid-1950s.
Large rectangular block body with staggered height necks in doubleneck 8 configuration. Cream P-90 style pickups, barrel knobs. Gibson logo on decal on body. Four adjustable chrome legs. Original brown suitcase-sized case with Gibson badge logo.
Overall length is 30 in. (76.2 cm.), 12. in. (30.5 cm.) width, and 2.25 in. (5.7 cm.) deep. Scale length is 23.25 in. (590 mm.).
Excellent overall condition. All original except pots have been replaced. Minor finish wear and dings. Case also excellent.
