Item #3663
Gibson Century-6 Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar (1959), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, salmon lacquer finish.
Overall length is 32 1/4 in. (81.9 cm.), 8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.).
Very good cosmetically, with some extensive (but well-matched) touch-up to the paint on the bottom edge. Pickup, pots, and knobs are more recent; repro tuners. A very nice-looking and still good-sounding Gibson steel; a nice gigging piece and a lovely populuxe decorator! Very Good + Condition.
