Item #7457
Gibson Byrdland Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1991), made in Nashville, TN, transparent wine red lacquer finish, maple back and sides, spruce top; maple neck with ebony fingerbord, original brown tolex hard shell case.
This lovely Byrdland dates to the early 1990's, a period when Gibson built some of the finest instruments of their modern era. This is a fully carved, solid wood guitar with a striking rich dark red finish and all gold-plated vintage style hardware. The guitar follows the classic Byrdland specs except the fingerboard is wider at 1 11/16" at the nut-typical of most Gibson electrics and more comfortable to most players than the usual narrow nut used on the Byrdland. A very fine playing and sounding instrument, and a very fine example of this model from a particularly good period.
Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 16 7/8 in. (42.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 23 3/8 in. (594 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This guitar is super clean overall with only some light scuffs and handling marks, and some typical tarnish to the gold plating. This is a very nice example of this Gibson classic showing very little wear or use for being 25 years old. An excellent playing and sounding guitar, complete with the original brown HSC. Excellent + Condition.
