Gibson A-Junior "Snakehead" Model Carved Top Mandolin (1925), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 77556, brown lacquer finish, maple back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, soft shell case.
Overall length is 25 5/8 in. (65.1 cm.), 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) width, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). All original finish and fittings except missing pickguard; scratches and scuffing overall but no major damage or repair. An excellent player with the typically fine "snakehead" sound. Overall Very Good + Condition.
