Gibson A Junior "Snakehead" Model Carved Top Mandolin (1924), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, brown stain finish, birch body, spruce top, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, chipboard case.
 
Overall length is 26 in. (66 cm.), 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) width, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/16 in. (27 mm.).

A well-worn player's grade snakehead; all hardware replaced, top varnished over black. Two repaired back cracks and noticeable repair around the edges where the back has shrunk and been reglued. Solid and very playable with great sound. A perfect day-to-day gigging 1920's mandolin. Very Good + Condition.
