Item #6548
Fender Vibro Champ Model Tube Amplifier (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # A 09865, black tolex covering finish.
A wonderful example of an early CBS-era Fender Vibro Champ. Introduced in 1964 the beefed up student amp with vibrato was a new idea at the time, which became a big success in the years to come. This excellent sounding low-watt amplifier is much more than just a beginner's piece; with a nice shimmer at low level blending into a singing snarl when cranked, the Blackface Vibro-Champ is an excellent choice for recording or lower volume stage use.
Height is 16 3/4 in. (42.5 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) width, and 7 1/4 in. (18.4 cm.) deep. A nice original amp with a few changed capacitors and resistors and a grounded 3-prong plug. Excellent Condition.
