Item #5872

Fender Tremolux Model 5E9-A Model Tube Amplifier (1959), made in Fullerton, California, tweed finish.

The Fender Tremolux was introduced in 1955 and was the first Fender amp with a built in effect. In its first incarnation, the Tremolox 5E9 circuit was housed in the same tweed cabinet as the Fender Deluxe Amp, but by 1957 the Tremolux graduated to a larger tweed Pro cabinet where it stayed until 1961 when the blonde piggy-back version made its debut. This example of Fender's Tremolux amplifier is the 5E9-A circuit, housed in the Pro size cabinet.

Height is 20 1/2 in. (52.1 cm.), 22 in. (55.9 cm.) width, and 9 in. (22.9 cm.) deep. Period correct but not original blue Jensen speaker, new 3-prong power cord, otherwise stock. Great sound, a clean example! Generally Very Good + Condition.
