Fender Telecaster Thinline Ltd. NAMM Blackguard Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2018), made in Corona, CA, serial # R96123, natural finish, ash body, maple neck, original tweed hard shell case.

This guitar is a cool Fender Custom Shop "Mash Up" instrument combining elements of the late 1960s Telecaster Thinline (with a semi-hollow body) and the early 1951 Broadcaster. The Thinline body with hollow chambers is finished in a relic natural finish, with the late '60s shaped pickguard carrying the controls. "Broadcaster" style features include a fairly chunky "baseball bat" one-piece maple neck, slot-head screws, a single layer black pickguard material and vintage 3-piece bridge with brass saddles. The neck features an anachronistic compound 7.25-9.5" radius and larger-than-vintage-style fretwire. The handwound blackguard Telecaster pickups are wired to the original 1951 rig with a bass cap (albeit less bassy than the original) in the neck position and a blend control instead of a standard tone control.

This limited edition guitar has medium-level simulated "relic" wear with numerous dings, dents and edge wear, including much of the back of the neck taken down to bare wood. Actually it does not appear to have been played much since new. The guitar performs exactly as it should, a sweet sounding and cool hybrid Telecaster with a unique mix of features.

Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 12 11/16 in. (32.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).

This guitar looks like it's been rode hard for decades, but then that's the idea. It actually appears little played since new; the frets show virtually no wear. It comes in the very nice original re-issue center pocket tweed case with a thorough package of original case candy including the leather strap and fold-open cased COA from the Fender Custom Shop. Overall Excellent Condition.
