Item #6842

Fender Telecaster Custom Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1973), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 418874, mahogany stain finish, ash body, maple neck, original black hard shell case.

Overall length is 38 5/8 in. (98.1 cm.), 12 5/8 in. (32.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). This Telecaster is a bit of a bar-band survivor, but remains an excellent player and exudes a certain badass cool. It has general playing wear overall, with scuffing to the pickguard, armwear to the upper edge of the body and some classic 70's Rock Star cigarette burns on the headstock. The Fender humbucker was at one point replaced with a Dimarzio, but is now super cleanly restored with an exact original replacement from 1973 that sounds great. The electronics are original except for one pot and a few solder joints. At just over 7 1/2 pounds this is lighter than many of these '70's ash body Teles, and handles very well. Includes the original old-style black red-lined Fender case. Excellent - Condition.
