Item #1860

Fender Studio Deluxe Model High Steel Electric Guitar, c. 1956, made in Fullerton, California, desert sand finish, ash body, original tweed hard shell case.

Nice example of Fender's deluxe 1950s studio steel, intended for advanced students learning "The Fender Way". This is essentially a Champ with legs, and was originally offered in a set with a tweed Princeton amplifier. Complete and original down to the snap-on bridge cover.

Overall length is 31 1/8 in. (79 cm.), 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) deep.

Very clean overall; some light scratching and wear to finish and darkening of the chrome where the player's hand rested. Some light corrosion on metal fingerboard on the treble side. Great original tweed case has some staining to the red plush lining in the leg compartment from the rubber feet, otherwise fine. Excellent Condition.
