Item #3662

Fender Stratocaster Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1961), made in Fullerton, California, Blonde lacquer finish, ash body, maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.

In the pantheon of Stratocasters, a special place is reserved for instruments with this particular custom finish. When the wood specification of the Fender guitar body was changed from ash to alder in 1956, only instruments finished in translucent blonde kept the ash body. Blonde Fenders, and particularly blonde Stratocasters, have had a special place in the hearts (and hands) of players and collectors ever since.

Overall length is 38 1/4 in. (97.2 cm.), 12 1/2 in. (31.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) deep. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.).

All original; average light play wear and dings but no modifications or damage. Excellent Condition.
