Item #4971
Fender Rosewood Telecaster Model Solid Body Electric Guitar, c. 1971, made in Fullerton, California, natural polyester finish, laminated rosewood body, rosewood neck, original black hard shell case.
One of CBS/Fender's coolest and most memorable creations, the Rosewood Telecaster is also one of the most collectible and sought after of post-Leo Fender guitars.
Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). All original, minor finish dings but no major wear; overall a very clean example. There appears to be a factory-spliced area on the rosewood back under the finish; not unheard of with this difficult-to-work material. Sounds and plays very well, a cool Fender rarity. Excellent Condition.
