Item #6392

Fender Precision Fretless Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1980), made in Fullerton, California, serial # S891351, sunburst polyester finish, ash body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.

A nice example of a turn-of-the -'70's-'80's Fretless Precision, with the period-specific combination of an ash body and a traditional sunburst finish. A fine player, not as heavy as many from this period.

Overall length is 45 7/8 in. (116.5 cm.), 12 7/8 in. (32.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). All original, sime light wear overall but no major damage and no repairs or alterations. The rosewood fingerboard swows only a very little wear, currently set up with flatwound strings with a nice singing tone. Includes the original black tolex HSC, which were just being discontinued around this time. Excellent Condition.
