Item #6420
Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1980), made in Fullerton, California, serial # S894233, sunburst polyester finish, ash body, maple neck, original black tolex hard shell case.
A nice example of a turn-of-the -'70's-'80's Precision bass, with the period-specific combination of an ash body and a traditional 3-color sunburst finish. A fine player, not as heavy as many Fender Basses from this period.
Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 11/16 in. (4.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Very clean overall, all original-a very nice find in a 30+ year old Fender Bass. There are small dings and scratches, a bit of shrinkage to the pickguard but basically this looks fairly new with a bright unfaded sunburst finish and still shiny hardware. Typically strong mid-rangey P-Bass sound. Excellent - Condition.
