Item #5291
Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1973), made in Fullerton, California, sunburst finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
A very nice early '70's Precision Bass, one of the last with a whiff of '60's vibe. The 3-color sunburst is nicely aged but unfaded. 1973 was the final year for these old classic P-Bass features: the tortoise plastic pickguard and the fingerrest below the strings. This is a very light and great handling bass, one of the nicest 70's Fender basses we have had.
Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A very nice, all original unmodified example; some minor finish rubs but no major loss. One chip in the treble edge of the fingerboard between the 3rd and 4th fret. Complete except for the chrome pickup coverplate; lightweight, an excellent player with a very fine sound. Excellent Condition.
