Item #6054

Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1963), made in Fullerton, California, sunburst finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 45 3/4 in. (116.2 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). This bass has been VERY heavily played, and for good reason! A veteran of thousands of gigs, this bass is just in from the second owner, who made a living with it for over 40 years. There is heavy finish wear everywhere, with some thumb wear into the body wood in two places above the pickguard. All finish, electronics and hardware remain original; there are no repairs and the only alteration is one added screw hole in the face of the headstock between the E and A tuners. The neck is in very good playing condition, with less finish wear than one might expect- the frets have some wear but are still fully functional.

This is simply an exceptional sounding Fender bass, typically warm but clear sound and an effortless player. This bass was played by one owner for the better part of a lifetime and is now ready for the next! Not an artificially aged "relic", this is a true veteran and one of the finest player's basses we could hope to find. Includes a period but not Fender-made HSC. Overall Very Good + Condition.
