Item #7361
Fender Mustang Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1975), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 641162, blonde finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black chipboard case.
Overall length is 42 1/8 in. (107 cm.), 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) deep. Scale length is 30 in. (762 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). Very nice overall, all original and complete except missing the thumbrest and mute pads. There are some small dings, stains and chips to the finish and some very small divots in the fingerboard, but the bass very little playwear overall. It looks like at some point perhaps someone thought about replacing the bridge but changed their mind-there are some shallow lines into the finish around the bridge base plate that look like razor marks, the purpose of which is now lost to history. You have to look fairly closely to notice this. This bass remains an excellent player with a very fast neck, one of the nicer '70's Mustangs we have had. Includes a somewhat beat but functional (and rare for this era!) original Fender chipboard case. Excellent Condition.
