Item #5458
Fender Jazzmaster Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 37250, sunburst lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original tweed hard shell case.
Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 14 1/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). All we can say on this one is WOW-this is the cleanest early Jazzmaster we have ever had. Overall light checking and few small dings and chips to the finish (most notable what looks like a case-lid ding above the upper controls) from handling over the years but really, overall this guitar looks virtually unplayed. All chrome shiny, no fret or fingerboard wear, no screw appears to have been ever turned since the guitar was assembled. Includes the lovely original tweed case with keys, strap, polish cloth and an immaculate rare '59 hangtag. Also a superb player, setup with lighter strings than stock in 1959 but otherwise pretty much just out of the case from a time capsule! Excellent + Condition.
