Item #2968

Fender Jaguar Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1962), made in Fullerton, California, sunburst lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown hard shell case.

This all-original first-year Jaguar has been well-played, but still offers a world of twang for surfing styles and beyond. As Fender's top-of-the line guitar, these guitars were a serious status symbol for many types of combos in the early 60's. This one has a particularly snarly tone with the best-sounding Jaguar lead pickup we've ever heard.

Overall length is 40 1/8 in. (101.9 cm.), 13 3/4 in. (34.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.).

100% original, except mute has been disabled and pad is gone; also with some play wear and evidence of time spent in a slightly damp case, but no significant damage.

Includes the original brown case, which is sized for a Jazzmaster but appears to have housed this guitar from the beginning. Very Good + Condition.
