Item #7614

Fender Deluxe Model 5C3 Model Tube Amplifier (1953), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 7451, tweed fabric covering finish.

Height is 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.), 18 in. (45.7 cm.) width, and 8 5/8 in. (21.9 cm.) deep.

A lovely early example of a wide-panel tweed Deluxe, one of Fender's all-time classic amplifiers. The tube chart in this amp carries the code stamp "CD" meaning a production date of April 1953. It was originally wired up by "Esper" and her masking-tape signature remains inside the beautifully original chassis. The cord and handle are new and the tubes are a mix of period and modern. With the original single 12" blue Jensen (this one dated 34th week of 1952) the 1953-4 Deluxe is simply one of the best club gigging and general recording amps ever designed. This one is in more original condition than most and remains a fine sounding amp, both clean and cranked to "12"...yes, that's one past "11". Some wear overall but a generally well maintained amp ready to rock for another 60 years. Excellent - Condition.
