Item #7013
Fender Deluxe 8 Model High Steel Electric Guitar, c. 1960, made in Fullerton, California, blonde lacquer finish, ash body, original brown tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 30 3/4 in. (78.1 cm.), 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm.) width, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 22 1/4 in. (565 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.). Very clean and absolutely original, with some small dings and chips to the lacquer finish but no other wear and no alterations ever. This is a fantastic sounding classic single-8 steel, with a sweeter and rounder sound than the earlier Fenders. This guitar appears undisturbed enough that we didn't even want to crack it open to date the pots! Includes a superbly well-preserved original brown tolex HSC still housing the original hangtag and polish cloth. Excellent + Condition.
