Item #2537
Fender Champion "600" Model 5B1 Model Tube Guitar Amplifier (1953), made in Fullerton, California, tweed finish.
A very early tweed-covered "Champ" from soon after the model switched from a two-tone fabric cabinet to the familiar classic '50s look. This is the simplest Fender amp design -- the chassis is literally a bent piece of metal with components directly wired in, three tubes, and one volume knob. The classic home and recording amp. No studio should be without one!
Height is 11 1/4 in. (28.6 cm.), 12 in. (30.5 cm.) width, and 7 1/4 in. (18.4 cm.) in depth at deepest point.
Looks all original except for '60s era Fender power tubes; even the usually-replaced handle and power cord are undisturbed. Typical average wear to the tweed covering, particularly in the corners.
This amp is overall very well-preserved. Sounds fantastic with a particularly nasty "snarl" and great response. Excellent Condition.
