Item #6507

Fender Champ 5E1 Model Tube Amplifier (1957), made in Fullerton, California, tweed finish.

The best studio and home-recording amp ever and a true Fender classic; the tweed Champ has long one of the most desired vintage amplifiers on the market. Surprisingly loud with a great tone edging from clean and mellow to a truly searing overdrive when cranked! This beautifully preserved Champ was built near the beginning of 1957 and has a little more headroom than the earlier '50's versions and sounds just great.

Height is 12 in. (30.5 cm.), 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm.) width, and 7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) in depth at deepest point.

Clean Clean Clean! A fantastically original amp with only some very light wear. Super original with only a three prong cord added. Some tiny raveling to the tweed edges and the handle looking a bit tatty are the most visible signs of age. Original transformer, caps, speaker, original (or at least period tubes) -as the Gods of Fender made it, here it stands-the Champ, the mightiest of the tiny titans!. This is the cleanest one of these we've had in a while from one of the very best years! Excellent Condition.
