Item #7443
Fender Champ 5E1 Model Tube Amplifier (1956), made in Fullerton, California, tweed fabric covering finish.
Height is 12 in. (30.5 cm.), 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm.) width, and 7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) in depth at deepest point. This is a well-worn but great sounding example of the 1956 Champ, often considered one of the greatest small amps ever. This one shows a lot of staining some wear to the tweed, but it remains largely intact. The amp has had a pretty comprehensive cap-and-resistor job (most originals included) a newer Weber speaker and an added 3-prong cord. The power tubes are period and the preamp tube is newer. This amp is internally updated somewhat but not altered from spec and still has the searing sound typical of these, in spades! Very Good + Condition.
