Epiphone Electar Century Model Tube Guitar Amplifier, c. 1939, made in New York, Natural Laquer finish, maple veneer.
Height is 15 1/16 in. (38.3 cm.), 13 7/16 in. (34.1 cm.) width, and 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) deep. This diminuitive and surprisingly loud Electar Zephyr has just undergone a complete restoration. Modern hardware and high grade wiring was used to replace the original wiring and hardware which had degraded past practical everyday use. Reconstructed circuit based on early Electar schematics. Replaced speaker, power transformer and coppper sheilding. NOS 6L6, and 6SJ7 tubes and a modern 6SL7 tube. This amplifier sounds absolutely incredible and is road ready for another 80 years of service. Excellent + Condition.
