Item #3343
Dobro Roundneck Model 60D Model Resophonic Guitar, c. early 1970's, made in California, sunburst lacquer finish, laminated mahogany body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case.
By the early 1970's, some members of the extended Dopyera family had managed to re-claim their Dobro trademarks and the rights to build these distinctive guitars. The result was a line of very nice instruments, some of which which are surprisingly authentic reproductions of the pre-war Dobros. This is a round-neck Model 60D, which is suitable for regular Spanish play or Hawaiian-style Dobro play with an extended nut.
Overall length is 37 7/8 in. (96.2 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 1/2 in. (622 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).
All original with average light finish wear: small chips, dings, and overall checking, but no damage or repairs. A good-playing and sounding example. Excellent Condition.
