DeArmond Rhythm Chief Model 1100 Model Archtop Guitar Pickup, c. 1965, made in Toledo, Ohio, chrome finish.
This highest-end Model 1100 version of DeArmond's celebrated Rhythm Chief pickup is distinguished by having adjustable poles allowing some string balance adjustment. This example is in good used condition with the full "monkey on a stick" mounting equipment and the original felt under the box still intact. It is not dated but the small plastic knobs and mini-jack connector indicate a build date sometime in the 1960's. The chrome shows some minor wear but overall this is a fairly clean pickup. The flange in the control box has been bent down a bit and has one extra hole drilled in it which allows a tighter mounting if desired. This pickup is ready to mount with a mini-to-phone plug to standard plug adaptor included. Sounds great, as they all do! Excellent - Condition.
