Item #5790

Silvertone Model 1444 Model Electric Bass Guitar, made by Danelectro (1965), made in Neptune, NJ, black lacquer finish, masonite and pine body, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

Overall length is 43 1/4 in. (109.9 cm.), 13 3/8 in. (34 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 29 1/2 in. (749 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). All original, some chips to the finish (mostly on the headstock edges, one on the back) but finish overall pretty clean. Some of the chrome is worn on the lipstick pickup cover, and there is some corrosion on the tuner buttons-the rest of the hardware is still shiny. Strung with original '60's flatwounds (Gibson Sonomatics by the look of them) for that absolutely authentic sound. Includes the very heavy grey Masonite-covered HSC. Overall Excellent - Condition.
