Item #6433
Danelectro Model 3011 Standard Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Neptune, NJ, serial # 4679, black lacquer with vinyl edging finish, masonite and pine body, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Overall length is 38 11/16 in. (98.3 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). This is an excellent player, quite clean overall with a few parts changes. The finish is all original with only some very light wear and no alterations. The lipstick pickup, bridge and Waverly strip tuners are original; the wiring rig is correct for the instrument but from another example of the same model. The pickguard is a repro, the knobs are modern vintage-style Daka-Ware repros and the backplate on the control cavity is made of the Masonite from a different Silvertone-we left it in the original red sparkle finish! The nut is replaced, the frets are original in excellent condition. This is one of the nicest playing of these we have had, an excellent gigging example of this early double-cutaway Danelectro classic. Excellent - Condition.
