Danelectro Deluxe Model #6027 Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Neptune, NJ, woodgrain and cream tolex finish, masonite and pine body, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

One of the rarest and coolest of all the original Danelectros, the "Deluxe" model was the company's fanciest guitar at the end of the 1950's. This first-year two-pickup Model 6027 Deluxe uses the same double-cutaway body and neck as the celebrated U-2 "Jimmy Page" model but with fancier cosmetics and trim. The brown walnut-finished top has a contrasting bound edge and white masonite glued-on pickguard, with the regular vinyl siding used on all Dannos. The white finished neck has the standard rosewood fingerboard and the matching headstock mounts Kluson Deluxe tuners.

The Deluxe also features the more elaborate Longhorn-style electronics circuit, with two concentric pots pre-wired for tonal effect and on/off "flipper" controls on the top. This model is rarely seen, as the more affordable "Standard" model (at all of $20.00 less) outsold the similar Deluxe by a huge margin. This is a great-sounding and seldom seen piece of Neptune cool, the nicest example of this model we have ever seen.

Overall length is 38 7/8 in. (98.7 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

Super nice overall with only the lightest wear and some small finish dings and chips. No changes, mods, or even a lot of use -- even the nearly always missing wooden "flipper" controls are intact and working. This is also an exceptionally good playing old Danno complete with the original Masonite HSC. Excellent + Condition.
