Item #2107
C. F. Martin Style 0 Model Soprano Ukulele, c. 1948, made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard.
A good sounding and playing plain Martin mahogany ukulele. Has the longer headstock and decal typical of the 1940's with somewhat unusual banjo-style tuners with long metal shafts and no collars. Some repairs but very attractive and a nice player.
Overall length is 21 in. (53.3 cm.), 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 5/16 in. (5.9 cm.) deep. Scale length is 13 3/4 in. (349 mm.).
Clean overallhas had a number of grain gracks to the back, all cleanly repaired. Finish is very clean with very little play wear, no overspray or finish work. Appears to have possibly had a neck reset, which is most unusual on a ukulele!
Nice bright sound typical of the 1940's and 1950's ukes. Very Good + Condition.
