Item #2155

C. F. Martin Style 0 Model Soprano Ukulele, c. 1924, made in Nazareth, PA, natural varnish finish, mahogany body and neck.

A nice example of an early-1920's wooden-peg Style 0. Although these were Martin's least expensive instrument, originally retailing in the $10-12.00 range, they are still built to the highest standard and are still considered amongst the best sounding and playing ukuleles ever manufactured.

This one is in fine condition for the era, and has a wonderful tone with plenty of volume.

Overall length is 20 5/8 in. (52.4 cm.), 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 5/16 in. (5.9 cm.) deep. Scale length is 13 3/4 in. (349 mm.).

Excellent playing conditionone repaired top crack and several repaired back cracks, all cleanly done. Original finish with light play wear and one small dent on upper bass bout. No overspray or finish work done.

Plays well and sounds extremely goodstill a great 'gigging' ukulele.
