C. F. Martin OM-18 Shaded Top Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1932), made in Nazareth, PA, sunburst top, natural back and sides finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original black hard shell case. Martin only produced 225 OM-18's in 1932. The majority of these were with natural finish tops.
Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 15 in. (38.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 5/16 in. (643 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).
General scuffing, dents, and scratches through-out the body and neck of the guitar. Pick wear especially prominent on top under the string area. One tuning machine formerly replaced with octagonal plate Grover and then replaced again with correct original period machine. Recent neck re-set and re-set of bridge. Newer bone saddle but all appearances of original ivory nut. Repair to split in the side at the lower bass bout. Very Good + Condition.
