Item #12614
C. F. Martin D-35 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1994), made in Nazareth, PA, natural finish, rosewood back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original molded black plastic hard shell case.
Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 5 in. (12.7 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
This is a nice now 30 year old (!) Martin D-35 retaining all original finish and fittings showing mostly minor wear overall. There are very small nicks in the top along the bottom of lower bout, but no actual pickwear. The back of the neck has some light feelable dings and dents. This guitar is fitted with unusual black-capped turners that Martin experimented with at this time; these look a bit odd but are factory fitted.
There are no cracks to the instrument but some typical maintenance repairs; the neck has been professionally reset, and the guitar appears to have had a refret that looks fairly old, there are slight divots in frets and fingerboard up to the fourth fret. The bridge was reglued and possibly lowered a bit forward of the pins. Internally all original braces are intact, the bottom two back braces have been reglued on the treble side, and the top ladder brace above the soundhole is reglued on the bass side. This is a big, warm sounding guitar still ageing in, complete in the molded plastic HSC. Overall Excellent Condition.
