C. F. Martin D-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1976), made in Nazareth, PA, natural finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original molded blue plastic hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This is a super clean D-18 from America's Bi-Centennial year which does not seem to have seen much play time since. The guitar shows some small handling marks to the finish but cosmetically that's about it. The bridge and pickguard are correct style replacements; the original acetate pickguards on these have often curled up like potato chips and many of the bridges lifted or cracked. Martin made 2,341 of these mahogany Dreadnoughts in 1976, which was well down from their early '70's totals. This one has survived in splendid shape, still living in its original blue plastic HSC. Excellent + Condition.
