Item #3447
C. F. Martin D-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1974), made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, original hard shell case.
A nice example of an early 1970's D-18, the acoustic guitar of choice for many players of every persuasion. This guitar is extremely well-preserved. It plays and sounds great with no issues to speak of. With over 40 years of aging behind them, some of these 70's D-18's are mellowing nicely, and sounding better than ever.
Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
Very clean and original with only a few small dings and hardly any play wear. The bridge is original but has lowered somewhat.
The guitar plays and sounds very well. Set up with a Fishman pickup and endpin jack, this would make an excellent gigging Martin. Excellent + Condition.
