Item #6264

C. F. Martin D-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1971), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 277200, natural finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original molded black plastic hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A nice clean '71 D-18 with no major repairs or alterations; the bridge has been lowered slightly and a strap button added on the heel. The pickguard is the correct style but is likely a replacement as the original black acetate 'guards from this period have usually shrunken and curled by this point. A fine easy player with a well-rounded sound. Overall Excellent - Condition.
